Dharma vs Faith (Duty or blind Faith)

Ramayana and Mahabharata are stories which create situations where justice is in crisis. Two conflicting Dharma (धर्मसंकट Daharmasankat = Crisis of justice) make ones decision to act difficult. A typical Catch 22 situation. The stories show how people with evil mind take advantage of these situations in their favor and good people resolve it even if it is against their immediate benefit. Thus, these stories should be analyzed thoroughly to understand and practice. As these are knowledge based creations, many learned people have elaborated and tried to explain. But the dawn of Bhakthi marga (faith worship) these attitudes underwent a change these books were turned into religious books extolling its mere recitation even without understanding. This blog tries to correct this tendency and is trying in a humble way to look into every aspect for the purpose of understanding. The viewer’s participation will help in this endeavor. The blogger believes Valmiki is taking lots of pain to take us through emotional trauma while following Dharma. Reading the Ramayana carefully will guide us through this understanding. All Situations in Ramayana are looked into form this aspect and analyzed.
